Character Models by me
For the elderly librarian we used the model that was used in class to teach us how to animate. It was recommended to us by the second year students who used these models last year and remembered them being very flexible and easy to change. The model was definitely much easier for me to model than the one I set my eyes on initially.
When we started animating there was some miscommunication about which model was supposed to be used so one of the older models was used instead of the latest one but since the biggest difference was the minor tweaks done to the clothing there wasn't really a reason to go and re-animate the scene in order to change the model and we stuck with the older one for the rest of the project.

The model called Ellie that was used for our main human character was in our group universally hated by everyone who had to work with her. Her rig was just really complicated and we had a hard time understanding it.
It was hard to change the things about her so the closest thing in her design to the original drawing is the hair. She was entirely transformed by me and I also did the majority of her animations as it was driving the others crazy to work with her. I was originally trying to just change her hair colour but it felt lazy and didn't look like the character I designed so I decided to change her hair which made her look distinctly ours and not as a recolour of someone else's character.
