Bobby, his Evolution and other Books

Bobby Lonesome is the main character of the movie. He is an old book in a messy library and he is misplaced by the old librarian. He is also the base for all the other book characters as they are all edits of his model.

The original model wasn't what we were looking for in that it looked too optimistic and slightly childish. I took the model and edited it to resemble the initial drawing more, making him look more tired and worn down. I made the eyes smaller and a solid black, the only book characters that have colourful pupils are in the horror section for that creepy effect. My idea was to make him look like a stereotypical old book, brow with a red bookmark, but we decided that the red made him look young and the brown made him blend into the background.

Olivia then made the final colour adjustments making him green and grey.

Other Books

I helped in making of all the books whether it was purely by picking colours or by painting their covers and making accessories. However there are only Three books I worked on and from start to finish and they can be found in the horror section. The twilight book and the twins. The twins share their entire design and are absolutely identical. The Twilight book is based on a popular ya-romance novel and more specifically its film adaptation as it essentially became a joke of pop culture and we thought it would be funny to include it in the horror section.
